On February 27, 1932, Elizabeth Taylor was born. She was a full-fledged movie star. Is it just me, or do people not look like this these days?
I loved watching old movies as a kid, and I still do. The first film I ever watched her in was National Velvet.
Those eyes – a remarkable shade of violet. A trait, perhaps, you see once in a lifetime. Her perfectly coiffed dark hair and stunning porcelain skin. In her personal life, she may have been imperfect – but on the big screen she was absolute perfection.
Though she’s been gone for nearly a year (March 23), I am honored to share my birthday with a legend. She would have been 80 years old today. Let this beautiful person remind us to CELEBRATE life!
