The Red Velvet Cake War, by Jones, Hope, & Wooten is another riotously funny southern-fried comedy you won’t want to miss! The Verdeen cousins of Sweetgum, Texas host a family reunion on the hottest day of July. Throw together the usual family participants, a court-appointed psychologist, a one-eyed suitor, and a determined neighbor for a fast-paced romp through a family reunion full of eccentric personalities. A jaw-dropping wager is made on who bakes the best red velvet cake as two of the ladies vie for the affection of Sweetgum’s newest widower. You’ll wish your own family reunions were this much fun!
(I play a bimbo. Again. So funny! My character’s name is Portia Louise “Peaches” Verdeen Belrose. Need I say more?)
