30 Days of Gratitude: Day 18

As I watched the storm outside last night, nice & cozy from my chair & a cup of hot tea, I found myself thankful for seasons.

By seasons, I don’t mean weather. Though I do enjoy the changing seasons. I mean seasons of life.

My drive to & from work is dark now. It’s not going to be that way forever though. It’s a season.

Soon, you’ll hear Feliz Navidad in every retail establishment. Rest assured, it’s just a season.

Your kids picking their noses. Frustrations at your job. You get the picture. It’s a season.

My hope for anyone reading this is that you’d look at the storm in your life & know it’ll pass soon. It’s a season.

I’m thankful for lessons learned in life’s darker seasons. With every drop of rain there is hope for something to grow from the ground in its due time. I pray that my heart is fertile soil.
